New generation of Eee Pad Transformer plans to launch in 2012, along with the next version of Android launched last April last. The new model will be thinner and lighter version of the current Eee Pad Transformer. While running Android version retains value as the first generation Eee Pad (399 USD for 16 GB model), running Windows version will be priced higher.
Transformer Pad Eee seems to fit perfectly with Microsoft's plans for Windows 8. The operating system is designed for touch screens, with applications to program in HTML 5 and Javascript. Users can drag, drop, resize and move the application to the side of the screen, and run two applications side by side.
But beneath the touch user interface is the Windows operating system with common interfaces and applications that best suits your mouse and keyboard. That makes the Eee Pad Transformer becomes useful with Windows 8. Mouse and physical keyboard will allow users to run legacy applications, while the detachable tablet suitable use light like surfing or reading e-book.
Of course, there are many questions about Windows 8. Is the operating system has the ability to provide instant (instant-on Capabilities) of the tablet platform competition? Will Windows 8 devices on ARM architecture will run older applications? And there will be improvements in the battery?
Anyway, let's hope that the information of Notebook Italia will soon have results and new products Eee Pad Transformer is a device that runs Windows in the first eight are sold.
